Helton Creek Falls is accessed via a 0.3-mile trail from Helton Creek Road, one of the easiest Ga mountain hiking trails. The path descends through hemlock forests to a side trail with stairs to the lower falls, then to an observation deck for the upper falls. The lower falls slide into a shallow pool, perfect for wading, while the upper falls cascade dramatically into a vibrant lagoon.
