History

Founded in 1981 through Fred and Hazel Hamilton’s donation of over 1,000 plants and 35 acres, the gardens offer serene trails, lake views, and a peaceful retreat that enhances the appeal of homes for sale in Hiawassee, GA. Now operated by a small community based nonprofit with one full time curator and a handful of volunteers.
